Overview

The Mustang is Ford’s sports car icon that debuted in 1964, creating a new market segment that became known as “Pony Cars.” The Mustang was redesigned for 2005 and while it is immediately recognizable as a Mustang, it now offers thoroughly modern performance with powerful engines, advanced MacPherson struts, and a three-link live axle with Panhard rod rear suspension for the rear-wheel-drive platform. The standard Mustang is powered by a 210-horsepower 4.0-liter V6 engine, and the Mustang GT is powered by a 300-horsepower 4.6-liter V8.

What’s new in 2007?

The 2007 Ford Mustang adds two new appearance packages for GT models, a standard auxiliary audio input jack on all models, optional SIRIUS satellite radio and a new comfort package featuring an electrochromic mirror with compass, heated front seats and a six-way power passenger seat. The GT California Special package includes 18-inch wheels, side scoops, rolled bright exhaust tips, black leather-trimmed seats, a larger intake, a chin spoiler 1.5-inches lower than the GT, and unique front and rear fascias. The GT appearance package features rolled exhaust tips, an engine cover with a Pony emblem and a hood scoop. Two new exterior colors are added: Grabber Orange Clearcoat Metallic and Alloy Clearcoat Metallic.
