Overview

The Civic is Honda’s compact car, offered in sedan, coupe, and hatchback versions. First introduced as a small, inexpensive hatchback in 1972, the Civic has increased in size while continuing to offer excellent fuel economy. The seventh generation Civic arrived as a 2001 model and the Civic Si returned for 2002. The Civic Hybrid was added as a 2003 model and features gas-electric hybrid technology. The entire Civic line is all-new for 2006. For 2007, the Civic Si adds a sedan version for the first time ever.

What’s new in 2007?

The 2007 Honda Civic receives some minor updates and adds Si Sedan to its lineup that is powered by the same 2.0-liter i-VTEC 197-horsepower engine as the Si Coupe. Sharing the same characteristics as the Si Coupe, the Si Sedan comes in a 6-speed manual transmission with helical-type limited slip differential, standard Vehicle Stability Assist with Traction Control, an exclusive low-profile rear spoiler wing, sporty interior and standard 17-inch alloy wheels with 215/45 R17 tires. The Civic Si Coupe receives new darker alloy wheel color, XM Satellite Radio is added as standard on navigation-equipped EX Sedan and Civic Hybrid, and a MP3/Auxillary Input Jack is added to the Civic LX Sedan. The natural gas-powered Civic GX debuted in mid-2006 continues unchanged.
